About Mr. Rhine
Joshua Rhine began his career as a music educator in August of 1997 when he joined the Festus-R-VI school district. While in the district he has taught 3rd – 6th grade choral and general music.
Mr. Rhine is married to DeAnna Rhine and is the proud father of three children, Garrett, McKenna & Bryson. Mr. Rhine is the founder of his award winning Honor Choir at Festus and has taken his choirs to Chicago, Disney World and many other festivals throughout the state of Missouri including STATE appearances at MMEA in both 2011 and 2015.
It all started in fall of 1988. I was 16 years old and my High School choir was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in downtown New York. My Aunt Debbie let me borrow her 35mm Cannon AE-1 for the trip and little did I know that old camera would spark a lifetime of enjoyment.
I knew from the very moment that I shot my first picture with that Cannon how much I loved photography. I knew where to point the lens, how to focus and exactly what to say to get that perfect smile!
Finally, I’m at a point in my life that the dream of photography has become a reality. In 2024 I retired from teaching music, something that has been an absolute joy and a wonderful career for 27 years! Photography will no longer be a hobby but now a priority. I'm expanding my equipment but more importantly my knowledge and excitement to create beautiful, memorable portraits.
Mr. Rhine has been a professional photographer since 2019. He is emerging as one of the best high school senior and sports photographers in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. His photos have been published in Senior Year Magazine not to mention numerous awards through the annual SYNC Convention. His love for photography continues to grow by his commitment to learn from other top photography professionals.
One goal of Mr. Rhine’s is not only to be one of the best sports photographers in the Mid-West but also to continue as an educator of photography to photographers across the entire country.
